Aren't you worried about the recession?

Lots of folks have been commenting on our decision to open a new business in the midst of the "great recession". I'd say just about every other customer that comes by asks us how business has been. For the record, we're not offended by people asking. We appreciate that the neighborhood in St Paul (and Minneapolis, for that matter) really wants to see us succeed.

So I was heartened by this short blurb on the NY Times website. On the pessimistic side it seems we have about even odds of making it for five years. On the optimistic side it appears that our odds of making it are the same no matter the state of the economy.

Oh, and business has been just fine--thanks to all of the incredible, supportive customers who have been coming by. We hope to see you all for the next five years and many many more beyond that.
